Iggy the Iguana Pastel with Tongue

The pastel Iggy is one of the two later versions Ty gave a tongue. The tongue is the quickest way to place him: the earlier tie-dyed and blue versions have none, and the two that do carry their swing tag at the spine rather than at the foot.

Pastel and neon are otherwise the same iguana in different intensities, so the fabric is all that separates them. The pastel is the muted one.

Iggy shares his look with Rainbow, style 4037, because Ty's production teams appear to have confused iguanas with chameleons and built the two with each other's appearance. A collector meets that confusion on the earlier tie-dyed and blue versions, which exist under both names. The tongue versions are the easier half of the family to identify.

Neither pastel nor neon is rare. Both ran from 1998 into 1999, and Ty made them in numbers large enough that they are unlikely ever to become scarce.
