Princess the Bear (PVC Pellets, Indonesia, No Space, Canadian Tush Tag)

Princess with a Canadian customs tush tag is the version made in Indonesia, carrying the no-space swing tag and the earlier P.V.C. pellet fill. That combination is the one the secondary market prices highest across the whole family, with recorded sales running $100 to $200 and a median near $150.

The Canadian tag is separate from the swing tag or the pellet fill. Canada requires an import tag on plush sold there, and it shows up on Princess bears made in Indonesia and, in at least one recorded case, in China. Among the no-space Indonesia versions, though, it is the P.V.C. tush tag pairing that draws this premium. The same Canadian tag on the P.E. version adds only a dollar or two over the ordinary price, nowhere near this jump.

No-space describes the swing tag itself, the one used for the earliest production run in China and for some of the initial Indonesia production too. Ty printed it that way on purpose, along with the "Oakbrook" spelling and the odd line spacing collectors sometimes flag as errors. None of that is a defect. It is how every Princess swing tag left the factory, and it adds nothing to value on its own. Country and the Canadian tag are what move the price here.

Whether Indonesia or China produced the true first Princess is still argued among collectors, since a genuine first edition only needs the no-space tag paired with a P.V.C. tush tag, and no documented production record settles which country started first.
