Stretchy the Ostrich is bag number 10 in McDonald's 1999 Teenie Beanie Babies Happy Meal promotion, a miniature version of the Ty Beanie Baby of the same name.

McDonald's ran the 1999 promotion in two phases: twelve numbered Teenie Beanie Babies from May 21 through June 3, followed by four International Bears in cardboard packaging, sold for $2.49 with any food item purchase, from June 3 through June 17. A McDonald's crew-exclusive bear was also distributed to employees on May 21.

This toy is a smaller, McDonald's-only release of Stretchy the Ostrich, a separate item from the full-size Ty Beanie Baby of the same name.
