About Mystic the Unicorn Iridescent Horn Coarse Mane

Mystic's iridescent horn is what separates this version from the brown- horned original she replaced. Ty introduced her on 25 October 1997, the same day that earlier, coarse-maned Mystic retired, and kept her running until 31 December 1998.

She carries a fourth or fifth generation swing tag and a fifth or sixth generation tush tag, the middle of Mystic's four versions by tag range. One documented oddity on this coarse-maned, iridescent-horned bear is a Mystic with no thread stitched into the horn at all.

This is also the promotional Mystic. The WNBA gave away 5,000 of her at a Washington Mystics home game against the Detroit Shock on 11 July 1998, and another 5,000 when the Los Angeles Sparks played Washington on 3 August 1998.

She was retired at the end of 1998 to make way for the rainbow-maned version, the fourth and last Mystic under style 4007, which arrived the very next day.
