Bongo the Monkey Brown Tail

Bongo the Monkey (Brown Tail) is the shorter-lived of Ty's two tail colors for this character. He was in production for about a year, from 1 February 1996 to 6 February 1997, while the tan-tailed version ran for several years longer.

Bongo started out under the name Nana. Ty Warner renamed him Bongo because he plays the bongos, and the change applies to both tail colors. He is made from the same fabric as Bessie, Pouch, Sly and Tusk.
