At the height of Furby mania, McDonald's filled U.S. Happy Meals with miniature plastic McFurbys from March 26 through April 22, 1999. The collection is documented as eight action styles, each offered in ten color designs, for a reported total of 80 distinct toys. Each style performs one simple physical or sound action: pressing a tail, rolling a wheel, flipping the toy or pushing it forward. The toys are rigid plastic with a fuzzy tuft and do not speak or learn like the electronic Furby they imitate.

Collector references agree on the eight-by-ten structure, and specialist archives describe one action per style. Identify a 1999 McFurby by its molded plastic body, fuzzy crest and molded series and design-number markings, then record the toy as Style X / Design #Y with a plain color description. Style actions per specialist archives: 1 blinks when the tail is pressed (with purring sound per one archive); 2 ears and feet move up and down via a wheel underneath; 3 walks forward when pulled back on wheels; 4 eyes, beak and ears move when the feet are pushed; 5 makes a sound when turned upside down (described as a meow in one archive and an eek in another); 6 ears cover the eyes when the tail is pushed; 7 squeaks when the tail is pushed; 8 eyes move left and right when the ball on its back is rolled.
