Wrinkles the Dog

Wrinkles is the bulldog of the Beanie Babies line. He was released on 15 June 1996 as style 4103, with a birthday of 1 May 1996, and was retired on 22 September 1998. He was issued with fourth and fifth generation swing tags, and his tush tags run from the third generation to the sixth. A Wrinkles wearing anything earlier than a fourth generation swing tag is worth a closer look, because none was issued that way.

Wrinkles attracted no promotions and has no documented counterfeit tells, so the tush tag is where all his recorded variation sits. Examples exist wearing tags for Hoppity, Pouch, Spike, Tank and Stretch. Five different names on one dog is a fair record for a two-year run, and it says more about how tags were sewn on at the factory than about any one dog. If yours has the wrong name, the dog is still a Wrinkles and the tag is the oddity.
