Valentino the Bear

Valentino the Bear is Ty's general retail release, born on Valentine's Day, 14 February 1994, and sold from 7 January 1995 until his retirement on 31 December 1998. That four-year run is why his tag range is the widest in the Valentino line, spanning second through fifth generation swing tags and first through sixth generation tush tags.

Ty also made a separate Valentino for the Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program, sold with its own certificate and registration paperwork rather than through ordinary retail. That is a distinct release, not a variation of this one, so its documentation should not be read onto a standard retail Valentino.
