Tabasco the Bull

Tabasco is the red bull whose name Ty dropped in favour of Snort. When it appeared there might be a copyright or trademark issue with the name Tabasco, Ty discontinued it and carried the bull on as Snort, keeping the style number and the birthday, 15 May 1995. Tabasco himself was on sale for just under two years.

The body is the same bull under either name, and the fabric is shared with the red Digger, Grunt, Pinchers and Snort. Tabasco is found with third and fourth generation swing tags and first through third generation tush tags.

One counterfeit is documented, and it is caught on the swing tag. The fake carries a fifth generation style tag, which Tabasco never had. It has no style number, the birthday month is written out in full, the web address is abbreviated, and the poem names Snort instead of Tabasco.

Four wrong tush tags are documented: Lefty, Mystic, Snort and Spike. The Snort tag is the one with a story, given the rename, and the others are ordinary factory mix-ups. Tabasco's own tag has turned up on Manny.
