Snowball the Snowman

Snowball was on sale for less than three months. Ty introduced him in October 1997 and retired him on the last day of that December, which makes him one of the shortest production runs in the line.

For such a brief life he generated a lot of documented variation. Collectors record Snowballs with eyebrows, Snowballs whose scarf is finished in string rather than yarn, and Snowballs missing a mouth entirely, alongside the usual mismatched tush tags for Bessie, Chip and Cubbie.

A limited edition of 300 was also made for the Orlando Beanie Baby and Collectible Expo in December 1998, a year after the toy itself had retired.
