Sandy the Turtle

Sandy is a sea turtle in the Beanie Boos line, introduced March 18, 2011 as an exclusive for the Audubon Nature Institute. All profits from the original purchase went to the Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program. In July 2012, Ty opened Sandy up to its regular retailer network and also released a medium size.

Late in 2012, Ty redesigned Sandy with legs in place of the original flippers, keeping the same swing tag and style number. That redesigned version was pulled off order in May 2013 and retired that August.
