Safari the Giraffe

Safari is a Ty Beanie Boo giraffe, on sale from February 2010 to July 2018. His earliest tags carried no birthday or poem; both were added once his swing tag reached its second generation.

General retail versions were sold in key-clip, regular, medium and large sizes. The key-clip is missing the trademark symbol after his name on the tush tag, a printing detail rather than an error. Ty also introduced the medium size as a 'Beanie Boo Buddy' in March 2010, before dropping that name for the ordinary 'medium size' label used across the line.

The 18-inch large size exists in two versions sharing style number 36801, the same birthday and the same poem. The only way to tell them apart is the eyes: plain on the general retail giraffe, glitter on the version seen only at Justice Stores from December 2012.
