Peanut the Elephant (Royal Blue) was one of the Legends in the 2000 McDonald's Teenie Beanie Babies promotion, alongside Chilly and Humphrey. The Legends honoured retired Ty classics and came in their own packaging rather than one of the 18 numbered Happy Meal bags. This Teenie carries McDonald's branded swing and tush tags rather than Ty's heart tag, and like the rest of the 2000 set it was produced in large numbers, so sealed packaging alone does not create much value.
The colour is the point: royal blue is the shade of the famously scarce 1995 full-size Peanut, and the Teenie let anyone own it for the price of a Happy Meal. The full-size royal blue Peanut has its own record here, as does the light blue Teenie from the 1998 set.
