Lizzy the Lizard's blue coloring is her original release, and some blue examples turn up with an undocumented striped tail rather than the plain one most Lizzys have.

Ty first announced Lizzy on its website with one poem, then changed the text before she reached retailers, so early references to that original poem describe a version of Lizzy that never actually shipped.

Other documented oddities include blue Lizzys wearing tush tags meant for Happy, Splash, Spot or Waves, which is a known factory habit rather than a sign of tampering.
