The 2010 Hong Kong Toy Fair bear was made for guests at Ty’s exclusive showing in the Peninsula Suite at Hong Kong’s Peninsula Hotel. Its bright red plush and yellow ribbon printed with “Hong Kong 2010” make the event easy to identify.
The hang tag names the venue and year and thanks the recipient for attending. Collector records list a seventeenth-generation hang tag and fifteenth-generation tush tag, with manufacture in China.
Ty produced other Hong Kong Toy Fair bears in later years, so the event name alone is not enough when comparing examples. Match the year on both the ribbon and hang tag to this red 2010 release.
