Gills is a shark, one of five SeaWorld-exclusive Beanie Babies Ty released together in May 2011, alongside Fin the orca, Glacier the polar bear, King the penguin and Surf the dolphin. His tag carries its own fun fact: a shark's teeth are constantly falling out and being replaced, and over a lifetime it can grow as many as 30,000 of them.
