Ghosty the Ghost

Ghosty is a Beanie Boo ghost with a long, complicated history. The original 2010 version ran into production quality problems, and Ty allegedly destroyed the entire US shipment of the regular size after only a handful sold through UK retailers. That version was taken off order in November 2010 and formally retired in July 2013.

In August 2013, Ty surprised collectors with an unannounced redesign. The new Ghosty had glitter eyes, a different birthday, and a new poem, all without any advance announcement.

The 2010 original also came in a 4-inch key-clip and a 10-inch medium, both of which share the same manufacturing story as the full-size version. The medium's tush tag is styled like a Beanie Buddy tag but reads 'The Beanie Boo Collection' instead.
