About Freckles the Leopard

Freckles is a leopard whose tush tags sometimes carry a Chinese factory number on the inside. Numbers recorded so far are 700, 701, 702, 710, 712, 715, 716 and 719. The mark is a production detail rather than a fault.

The fabric oddities are the interesting ones. Freckles has been found with fuzzy fabric across half of his back, with fuzzy fabric on and under his chin, and with an unfinished tail.

Tush tag swaps are recorded for Ears, Pugsly, Rover, Squealer, Stinky and Stripes. The swap ran the other way as well, since Scottie has been found wearing a Freckles tag. All of these are factory slips.
