Cookie the Dog – Valentine’s 2012 Ty Rep Sample

Cookie is a Valentine's Day dog in the Beanie Boos line. The retail version shipped in a pink and white colorway from July 2011 to July 2013, with a tan and white variant appearing briefly from January to February 2012, both under the same style number.

Before either shipped, Ty circulated brown Basset hound colored field representative samples to introduce retailers to the upcoming toy. Those samples carried a swing tag poem with a spelling error, 'When I see you I was my tail,' which was corrected to 'I wag my tail' by the time the retail versions shipped.

In early January 2012 the tan and white version, once thought to be a rare field sample, turned up unexpectedly as a real retail item in Walgreens stores and in Germany.
