Cookie the Dog – Tan and White, Valentine’ s 2012

Cookie is a Beanie Boo dog made for Valentine's Day 2012, and Ty issued her under a single style number in two different color combinations. The pink and white version ran from July 2011 to July 2013, while a tan and white version using the same style number appeared only briefly, from January to February 2012.

Before Cookie shipped, Ty field representatives carried brown sample versions to preview the toy for retailers, though the retail color turned out different. Those samples also had a swing tag typo, 'was' for 'wag' in the poem, which was corrected before the toy reached stores.

The tan and white version was originally believed to be one of those unreleased samples. It turned out to be a genuine retail item after all, showing up at Walgreens in January 2012 with the corrected typo already in place. It was also sold in Germany.
