Cookie the Dog – Pink and White

Cookie is a Ty Beanie Boo dog made for Valentine's Day, sold under style 36057 in more than one color. The pink and white version came first, in July 2011, followed by a tan and white version carrying the same style number that sold for only about six weeks in early 2012.

Before either color reached stores, Ty field representatives showed retailers a brown basset hound sample to introduce the design. Its swing tag poem was misprinted as 'When I see you I was my tail,' an error corrected to 'I wag my tail' before the pink version shipped. The color that went to retail differed from that sample. The tan and white version, once assumed to be a rare unshipped sample, turned up for sale at Walgreens and in Germany in early 2012 with the corrected poem already printed.

Ty later added an unannounced 12-inch Cookie, first spotted at CVS Pharmacy, with its own poem about pizza and doggy treats. It is the largest size made for this Valentine's release.
