About Congo the Gorilla

Congo is Ty's black gorilla. There are no documented variations or counterfeit tells to check on him, which makes him one of the simpler Beanie Babies to buy.

He was shown at the 1998 Beanie Mania Toy Fair, his one promotional appearance on record.

The oddities are all tush tags. Congo has been found wearing tags meant for Hippity, Sly and Snip. A wrong name on the tush tag of an otherwise ordinary Congo is a factory slip rather than evidence of tampering.
