Chef Robuchon was made for a restaurant opening and given only to its guests. Ty produced him to promote the opening of L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. Journalists, chefs and selected guests received the bear with a red invitation card to a private function held before the official grand opening on 5 September 2006. The menu he holds is printed with a recipe for Chef Robuchon's potato purée.
Ty never released a production figure, and the number is thought to be roughly 200. His retirement is recorded only as some time before 5 September 2006, so he was withdrawn before the restaurant had officially opened.
