Celebration the Bear was bag number 30, the last in McDonald's 2009 Teenie Beanie Babies promotion, and the character's first appearance: the full-size Celebration bear did not follow until May 2010. The set ran from April 11 to May 15, 2009. Each toy came sealed in its own numbered bag, free with a Happy Meal, and in most restaurants was also sold on its own.
Each swing tag carried a code for online games and activities at happymeal.com or ty.com, the same kind of code Ty put on its full-size Beanie Babies 2.0 line. A full-size Celebration bear followed in May 2010 as a separate Beanie Baby release, so this Teenie came first.
