About Ai the Bear

Ai is the Japanese bear in Ty's 2003 Asia-Pacific set, and her name is the Japanese word for love. Her swing tag poem is printed in Japanese. The other five bears in the set are Aussiebear, Coreana, Kiwiana, Singabear and Wireabear.

The Motomachi Ty Store in Japan released a commemorative version of her wearing a sweater, named Ai Motomachi. A sweatered Ai is that separate release rather than a dressed-up example of this one.
