Beanie Baby Market Report: Week Ending October 4, 2026

Batty and Gobbles wake up for the season, Princess stays busy and cheap, and an authenticated Billionaire #2 tops the week at $1,195.

October showed up on schedule. In the first week of the month, Batty sold 25 times, more than double the week before, and Gobbles the turkey went from four sales to 12, with every one of them under $10. Nobody plans a Beanie purchase around the calendar, and yet every autumn the bat and the turkey start moving the moment the leaves do.

At the other end of the market, a Billionaire #2, one of the bears Ty made for its own employees and never sold in shops, brought $1,195 with authentication on October 3. It tops this week’s table by nearly $800. Below it sit two jade Teddys sold on the same day, a tie-dyed Lizzy at $400, and a run of early-tag animals at $250.

This report covers September 28 to October 4 and compares it with September 21 to 27. Counts are sales captured by our tracker, not every sale on eBay, and a character’s count can include more than one version.

Sales activity: the week’s biggest changes

Beanie September 21–27 September 28–October 4 Change
Princess 41 57 +16
Batty 11 25 +14
Teddy 15 24 +9
Gobbles 4 12 +8
Tiptoe 5 12 +7
Whisper 12 11 −1
Peace 26 17 −9

Princess is busy again, and still cheap

Princess had 57 sales, up from 41, which makes her the most traded Beanie in the tracker for a second week running. The money tells the other half of the story. More than half of those sales were $10 or less, and the median was $10. For all the attention the unusual versions get, the ordinary purple bear remains one of the easiest Beanies to buy.

Treat that $10 as a figure for Princess in general, not for any one version. It mixes PVC and PE pellets, bears made in China and Indonesia, and tags with and without the spacing quirk in the poem. If you are pricing a particular bear, compare it only with sales of the same version, which the Indonesia and China pages separate out.

Halloween arrives for Batty, and Thanksgiving for Gobbles

Batty went from 11 sales to 25 in the first week of October, which is about when you would expect a bat to start moving. Most of the sales were the brown Batty, with four tie-dyed examples among them. Nineteen of the 25 sold for $10 or less, and the median was $7.

Gobbles had a quieter version of the same week. Sales rose from four to 12, every one of them $10 or less, with a median of about $4. A turkey for the price of a coffee, seven weeks before Thanksgiving, is about as cheap as seasonal collecting gets. One week is not a trend, but the timing is hard to argue with.

Peace moved the other way. After jumping to 26 sales in the previous period, the tie-dyed bear settled back to 17, with a median of $10. That looks less like a change in demand than the previous week’s burst running its course.

Tiptoe and Whisper, both at $6

Tiptoe more than doubled, from five sales to 12, with at least one sale on every weekday. Nothing sold for more than $10, and the median was $6. Whisper held steady at 11 sales after 12 the week before, eight of them $10 or less, and landed on the same $6 median. One doubled and one stood still, and a buyer paid the same $6 for either.

Top sales of the week

The Billionaire #2 led the week by a distance, but the more instructive sales sit further down the table, where two jade Teddys sold on the same day, September 30.

The two jade Teddys make a neat pair. The old-face bear is the earlier design, and this one was Korean-made with a second-generation hang tag. The new-face bear is the later design with a third-generation tag. Both had first-generation tush tags, and the later bear sold for $25 more. Age counts for less than people expect; what buyers paid for here was the tags and the condition of each bear. Teddy as a whole had a busy week too, with the old-face and new-face bears together rising from 15 sales to 24.

Billionaire #1 and #2 were never sold in shops. Ty gave them to employees, which is why they turn up rarely and why the signed #1 bears brought $316 and $275 on the same day. The #2 is a different bear from the following year, and this one came authenticated, which matters at $1,195.

The rest of the table is early retail Beanies with early tags: tie-dyed Lizzy at $400, Splash at $344.46, and Humphrey, all-black Zip and Magic at $250 each. The Magic listing was specific about Korean manufacture and a third-generation hang tag. A Magic with later tags is a different sale, so check your own bear’s tags before taking $250 as the going rate.

Keep an eye on your own Beanies

Every character in this report has a page in the Beanie Baby Market Tracker, with the recent sales behind these figures. If you are working out what a bear of your own might fetch, our guide to valuing Beanie Babies from sold listings explains how to read those sales properly.
